Whether you use your Sprinter van for family road trips, home away from home RV, or business we can all agree that we can all use a good rear entertainment system. Anyone who has owned one, knows fairly well that the factory sound system is simply terrible. There’s just a complete lack of depth and clarity when it comes to its audio entertainment system. The van itself has a lot of space, but every space we save is added space for other activities. After you upgrade the speakers, the last thing left to add is a heavy bass subwoofer.
 
The Sprinter subwoofer panel mount is not new. The problem we had with what’s available in the market is it’s not made for an actual audio head, but just a quick solution to an existing problem and we can’t live with that. We wanted something clean, and not just clean, but look factory and hidden from plain sight. But most importantly, it actually performs.
 
Designed in CAD and cut with a CnC machine, we aimed to make a precise and great quality parts. We hand picked a number of shallow mount subwoofers you can pick from the options below that we know for a fact will fit in the space available. This kit will come with the main panel to mount the subwoofer, two walls on the side, and another in the bottom, that will seal the box, and leave the top part open to function as a ported enclosure. Once the 2 side walls and bottom wall are assembled together, you seal it to the body panel with 100% silicone to complete the subwoofer “box” enclosure. All of this will only work upon install of a really thick sound deadener material on the body panel to prevent it from rattling. The panel material is made from 3/4” MDF being the most ideal material for a subwoofer box. An optional outer ring bezel is available for passenger or crew vans to keep the interior panel from rattling.
 
Overall, this setup will provide 0.637 ft³ of internal volume.
